Starting in 1999, the couple launched a non-emergency transportation company, which was followed by ventures in the automotive and fitness industries, all based in the Conyers area. Their latest endeavor, Platinum Wellness Spa, evolved from a small foot massage and nail salon into a 7,000-square-foot luxury spa retreat.
Rebecca shares, “We closed on our current property in August 2021, and what was supposed to be a 4-month renovation turned into 1 ½ years due to the impact of COVID and inflation. However, through perseverance and determination, we officially opened our doors in December 2022.”
Navigating Challenges in the Journey
The path to success wasn’t smooth for Rebecca and her team. “Construction was a nightmare,” she admits. “Finding qualified subcontractors and dealing with skyrocketing material costs made the process extremely challenging. But as the saying goes, anything worth having doesn’t come easy. We’ve endured the struggles, and now we are reaping the rewards.”
