“We wanted to offer a comprehensive experience. We didn’t want people to just come here for a massage and then leave,” says owner and CEO, Rebecca Davis. The beautifully landscaped gardens featuring a jacuzzi, cabanas, swings, a fire pit, and a koi pond further add to the tranquil atmosphere awaiting clients at Platinum Wellness Spa.
Holistic Wellness and Future Expansion
“We are looking more toward being a holistic wellness facility,” Davis shares. In addition to the current offerings, the spa plans to introduce new services, including Reiki, yoga, and meditation. This aligns with the spa’s mission to create a complete wellness journey for its clientele, focusing on relaxation and mental rejuvenation.
Overcoming Challenges to Create a Wellness Destination
The journey to build Platinum Wellness Spa wasn’t without challenges. Davis revealed that creating this serene space during the pandemic took significant time and effort. “The renovations were only supposed to take four months, but they ended up taking a year and a half,” she explained. Supply chain issues, delays in overseas shipments, and unreliable contractors were just a few of the hurdles they faced.
Despite these obstacles, Davis’s entrepreneurial spirit remains strong. “There is nothing like working for yourself. Nothing at all. I am my own worst enemy, but I’m also my own destiny,” she said.
